Birding In Central India
The geography of India is extremely diverse, with landscape ranging from snow-capped mountain ranges to deserts, plains, rainforests, hills and plateaus. Few indian Regions are more interesting and attractive than Central India, as its name implies lies in the heart of India. Cultural heritage along with the wildlife at Central India is amagizing. A good part of this region is forested, offering a unique & exciting panorama of wildlife at the national parks like Kanha, Bandhavgarh & Shivpuri.
Much of the central india is seperated by Western and eastern ghats and taken by Deccan Plateau providing the tipical moonsoonal rain between june and October. One can have a look at the wild animals such as sambar, muntjac, wild boar, nilgai, chinkara, jackle, jungle cat, ruddy, sloth bear, black napped hare, indian fox, Olive Ridleys turtle etc. Not only the wild animals one can see Greater & Lesser Flamingos, Bar headed Goose, greater Sand billed Pelican, greater & Falcated Duck, Asian Dowitcher, Black tailed Godwit, Grey Lag Goose, Ruddy Shelduck, Spot Billed duck, cotton pygmy goose etc. IBT have tried to list the few birding destination of central india which are listed below:-
